1. Milking
Each day begins in our barns, where our cows are milked using gentle, hygienic equipment. We prioritize cow comfort and health at every step.
2. On-Site Processing
Milk is immediately cooled and processed in our state-inspected creamery right on the farm. This allows us to retain maximum freshness without over-processing.
3. Packaging & Delivery
Once bottled or crafted into cheese, yogurt, or butter, our products are labeled by hand and prepared for delivery to local retailers, farmers markets, or our own farm store.
4. Community First
We believe in knowing your farmer. Visitors are always welcome to tour the farm, meet the animals, and see firsthand how their food is made.

Founded by Harold and Mabel Johnson just after World War II, the farm began with a simple goal: raise healthy cows and produce honest, wholesome milk. What started as a modest homestead with a few Holsteins has grown into a multi-generational operation committed to sustainable farming, animal welfare, and producing dairy you can trust.
Today, HobbyFarmsOhio is led by the third generation of Johnsons, combining traditional values with modern practices to ensure our milk is as fresh and pure as it was in Harold’s day. We take pride in knowing each cow by name, and in doing things the right way—from pasture to pail.
